Last updated: 12 June 2026 · Applies to the Xyron Browser Capture Chrome extension
Xyron Browser Capture ("the extension") is provided by Xyron Intelligence /
Arenberg ("we") for users of the Xyron Intelligence platform.
What the extension does
The extension lets you save selected text, page metadata (URL, title,
timestamp), and screenshots from pages you visit into your own Xyron Intel
Graph workspace. Every capture is user-initiated.
Data we process
Captured content. Text you select and choose to save, the
page URL and title, and screenshots you explicitly request. This content is
sent only to the Xyron backend configured for your account or organisation
and stored in your workspace's Intel Graph.
Authentication data. When you click "Connect Xyron" in the
Xyron app, the app hands the extension your existing session token. The
token is stored locally in the extension's storage and used solely to
authenticate your captures to your own workspace. Disconnecting deletes it.
Preferences. An on/off switch and your backend URL, stored
locally on your device.
What we do not do
No passive collection — nothing is captured unless you act (select and
save, right-click save, or a popup action).
No browsing-history collection, no keystroke logging, and no analytics
or advertising trackers in the extension.
No sale or sharing of your data with third parties.
No use of your data for purposes unrelated to capturing into your
Intel Graph — including no use for creditworthiness or lending decisions.
Storage & security
Captured content lives in your organisation's Xyron workspace, subject to
your organisation's Xyron service agreement and retention policies. The
session token is kept in Chrome's extension storage on your device and is
removed when you Disconnect or uninstall the extension.
Managed installations
If your administrator deploys the extension by policy, installation and
removal are controlled by your organisation. Captures still go only to your
organisation's Xyron backend.
Your choices
Disconnect at any time (Xyron Settings → Connections → Browser Capture →
Disconnect, or from the extension popup), disable the capture switch in the
popup, or remove the extension (unmanaged installs) via
chrome://extensions.
